Parties can be booked for 10am or 11am by prior arrangement only. Public sessions start at 12pm and 2pm. Please make sure that you allow time to park your car and get to site 15 minutes before the start of your session.
We advise you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in along with sturdy footwear such as trainers or outdoor boots. Skirts, sandals and ‘Crocs’ are not permitted. Always dress for the weather – please ensure that you have waterproof clothes if rain is forecast. Please also bear in mind that you will be asked to wear a harness.
At the moment we are only accepting online bookings. This way we are able to control numbers so that we are not oversubscribed on our sessions and our valued guests don’t feel rushed while enjoying the activities.
No. All packages for our Nets or Ropes Adventures are bookable online in advance. Once on site, you will have 1 hour and 45 minutes to participate in the activities.
Spectators can watch and support participants from the ground, but they must not walk underneath the elements or stand in the activity zones – we charge a £2.50 fee for spectators to help with our costs, this fee includes a hot drink on arrival
Parking facilities are available at Baggeridge Country Park, the car parking is managed by South Staffordshire Council. It is £3 per vehicle all-day parking. Challenge Academy will not be held responsible for any parking charges/fines incurred whilst using the facilities offered.
We offer all-weather activity! The course remains open in all weathers, except in high winds or during thunder and lightning. If we have to cancel your booking due to the weather conditions, a member of staff will be in touch on the morning of your booking to postpone your visit.
If you are unhappy to complete the course in the rain, we recommend that you check the weather forecast and postpone your visit to us for an alternative date – we need a minimum of 48 hours notice for all amendments.
To change the date, or decrease the number of participants please call or email us. We will need a minimum of 48 hours notice to make amendments to your booking, and this is all subject to availability, so the earlier you can let us know, the better. If you want to add adventurers then no problem, please give us as much notice as possible.
We’re based at Baggeridge Country Park in Sedgley, five miles south of Wolverhampton centre and easily accessible from the Black Country, South Staffordshire, Birmingham and Telford. Please be aware that the car park operates on a ‘pay and display’ basis. Our adventure facilities are located below the Park Café next to the lower car park.
We ask that you allow plenty of time to park your car and to registering onsite. Our sessions starts at 12pm and 2pm with a safety brief from the Lead Instructor. If you miss the safety brief, you may not be able to participate in the session as our instructors will then be running the session and unable to give the brief again.
As a rule no – our safety systems mean that participants are always clipped on by an instructor using our continuous belay system. We ask that adults or older siblings/carers accompany those who are not so confident. Instructors are always there to ensure absolute safety and to help and support.
Our activities are for all ages so please don’t let the youngsters put you to shame. Minimum age for the Nets course is 3 years. The minimum age for the Low Ropes Course is 5 years and 7 years for the High Ropes Course. The Powerfan and Zipwire have a maximum weight limit of 16 stone (100kgs)
Our staff are first-aid qualified but not medical practitioners and so are not in a position to make decisions on the capability of participants due to medical conditions. It is your responsibility to decide whether a medical condition could affect your ability to take part in the activities. You will be required to acknowledge this when you make your booking. You may also wish to contact your doctor for further advice.
Our courses are equipped with the latest safety systems to ensure that participants are permanently clipped on and safe. – all attachments are undertaken by your Instructor. Your Instructor has been trained to the highest standards and has passed rigorous assessments throughout their training period before securing employment. The course is checked daily to the highest nationally recognised safety standards. All participants wear a full body harness.
We do allow dogs on site but they must be well behaved and on a lead at all times.
We are happy to postpone your event within 48 hours notice of your event, or alternatively, if the injured participant would prefer a refund, we can do this upon receipt of a medical note.
