HIGH ROPES COURSE

Adventurers can traverse through the high and low ropes courses, take a leap of faith down the PowerFan Descender and swing through the trees along the Zip Wire – above all, a high-level adventure guaranteed to get the adrenaline pumping! The course has state of the art safety systems and all instructors are highly qualified outdoor specialists.

NETS ADVENTURE

We have combined ‘high ropes’ obstacles with safety nets to create an aerial playground, different to anything else out there. No need to put harnesses on and perfect if you want to build your confidence. You are always safe and the activity is always supervised by one of our instructors who is responsible for everyone’s safety.

OBSTACLES + BOULDERING

Brand new last year – our obstacle course and bouldering wall will test anyone and we love it! Leave it to us to make sure that the challenge is suitable for you when you embark on your journey with your mates, family or colleagues. The obstacle course is included in the Adventure Pass for ‘Weekend Warriors’ who visit and will always be included in our weekday programmes for organisations.

WOODLAND CHALLENGE

We want to get our customers active and explore the amazing environment surrounding our centre. What better way to do this than introduce a few challenges along the way. We have set out our own orienteering trails where teams, armed with one of our trail maps, move from point to point and undertake different problem solving tasks.

Our activities are very interactive, relaxing and informative and we have a dedicated space onsite to deliver our courses. GROUND-BASED CHALLENGE

We recognise that high ropes and the more adventurous activities that we offer are not for everyone, but we are not just about challenge at height, a great deal of our offer is about keeping your feet firmly on ‘Terra Firma’. We can accommodate your needs, whether you are a school, a club or a corporate team. We are proud to say that our innovative team building activities and facilitation skills will always get you learning together and put a smile on your face.

OUR APPROACH

We do not preach, much better to let the activity do the talking and let you ‘do, review and apply’ or learn from your mistakes – this is what experiential learning is all about. Our tasks are simple to do but harder to do well – some tasks last for 10 minutes, others are more complex and require the skill and positive approach from everyone in the team. Most importantly, our tasks are active, full of laughter with outdoor learning at the heart.

Over the past 10 years we have designed and produced our own ‘Challenge Kit’. We use this for our tasks but kit and training is also available for you to purchase so that you can deliver your own programmes in your own spaces. Don’t forget we can always come to you if transport is difficult.

Our team building activities form an essential component of any multi-activity day that we deliver to schools and other youth organisations. Lots of activities can be delivered by teachers onsite, under our close supervision. But don’t forget this is also for grown-ups, we love working with any age group, any ability.

the challenges

Can you get the ball from A to B using the materials provided, can you walk the person on the ‘A-Frame’ through the ‘shark infested custard’? Some activities are tried and tested and some you won’t have ever experienced anywhere else. All challenges will get you smiling and you will always be inspired by others in your team.

The instructors are amazing and so encouraging when you have those occasional ‘I can’t do this’ moments! There are lots of them which means their organisation is second to none, safety is paramount and all this for a fantastically great value price! I didn’t know this place existed but I’ll be spreading the word, Thank you Challenge Academy!

Staff were first class, very patient and helpful. Safety is no1 priority but this doesn’t detract from the fun. Totally recommend this for something that the whole family can do together – it’s great for the kids to see Mommy and Daddy more scared than they are! Well done guys!
