Training

Our training packages and courses are intended to upskill your staff to enable delivery of our services. All training is supported by relevant Ofqual approved qualifications and for continuing professional development.

Why we Train

Many sectors are now recognising the importance of ‘soft skills’ and that there is a shortage of such Skills. Challenge Academy has always deemed these skills to be essential. Our training is approved by national organisations and Ofqual Awarding bodies.

Who we Train

Our specific training packages will ‘upskill’ your own staff to enable them to deliver effective programmes or interventions that will support lifelong learning through a soft skills approach. We can train anyone who wishes to support delivery of ‘soft skills’ programmes. Trainees must be 17+ years and depending upon the sector will require certain levels of experience and knowledge.

How we Train

Our training is always experiential, dynamic and fun. We use specific Challenge Academy resources from our Terra Firma range to support training. Training usually last for 1 or 2 full days, however we can be flexible and responsive according to client’s needs.

Accreditation

Challenge Academy training and accreditation is formal recognition that our organisation is competent to perform specific processes, activities, or tasks in a reliable credible and accurate manner. The provision of accreditation must:

  • Be objective, transparent and effective.
  • Use highly professional competent assessors and technical experts in all relevant fields.
  • Use assessors that are reliable, ethical and competent in both accreditation processes and the relevant technical fields.

Accreditation delivers confidence in certificates and conformity statements. It underpins the quality of results by ensuring their traceability, comparability, validity and commutability.

Who do we Accredit?

We offer qualifications for young people and adults. People in employment, education and training. Young people at risk; in prison, on community orders or specific diversionary programmes follow our Level 1 courses in ‘Personal Potential’ in order to build interpersonal and soft skills in order to support their situation.

We also offer qualifications to up-skill staff and enable others to deliver the above.

There is no upper age limit and we want lots of grown-ups to take part – don’t let the kids put you to shame! This is not just for them.

The minimum age for party goers is 5 years old, but please be aware that some of our younger adventurers do get scared, so it’s best if a more confident sibling, friend, or parent accompanies them around the course to support and encourage.

Our 10am–12pm slots at weekends and during school holidays are reserved exclusively for parties and groups. You can book these online. You can also add the head cam as extra.

Our Instructors are always in control and are on hand to support if you get stuck or scared, but remember getting outside of your comfort zone is very liberating!

Organise your party or group session to cater for your most confident participants.  Don’t worry if you think that some won’t be ‘up for it’, we are very good at ensuring that everyone has an adventure relative to their capabilities.
