HIGH ROPES COURSE

Adventurers can traverse through the high and low ropes courses, take a leap of faith down the PowerFan Descender and swing through the trees along the Zip Wire – above all, a high-level adventure guaranteed to get the adrenaline pumping! The course has state of the art safety systems and all instructors are highly qualified outdoor specialists.

NETS ADVENTURE

We have combined ‘high ropes’ obstacles with safety nets to create an aerial playground, different to anything else out there. No need to put harnesses on and perfect if you want to build your confidence. You are always safe and the activity is always supervised by one of our instructors who is responsible for everyone’s safety.

OBSTACLES + BOULDERING

Brand new last year – our obstacle course and bouldering wall will test anyone and we love it! Leave it to us to make sure that the challenge is suitable for you when you embark on your journey with your mates, family or colleagues. The obstacle course is included in the Adventure Pass for ‘Weekend Warriors’ who visit and will always be included in our weekday programmes for organisations.

WOODLAND CHALLENGE

We want to get our customers active and explore the amazing environment surrounding our centre. What better way to do this than introduce a few challenges along the way. We have set out our own orienteering trails where teams, armed with one of our trail maps, move from point to point and undertake different problem solving tasks.

VISITOR EXPERIENCE

We know that visitor experience is of huge importance and we are always looking to develop our service and facilities to ensure that there is something for everyone onsite. We’re always looking to improve our service and will always listen to your feedback.

HUGE VARIETY OF PROGRAMMES

You will see from this site that we have tried to offer something to everyone – clubs, community groups, schools, businesses, people with specific needs, the general public etc. We are always here to help so when you make a booking with us we will guide you through everything that you need. In the meantime here are a few of the basics:

BOOK ONLINE

We recommend you purchase your adventure passes online to guarantee your entry. We will need to monitor entry and exit very carefully in the new ‘socially distancing’ era. Advance purchase is much more affordable and you guarantee entry to our site and all that it has to offer.

HOW TO FIND US

We’re based at Baggeridge Country Park in Sedgley, five miles south of Wolverhampton centre and easily accessible from Birmingham and Telford. Please be aware that the car park operates on a ‘pay and display’ basis. Our adventure facilities are located close to the Park Café next to the lower car park.

WEATHER

We offer all-weather activity! If we have to cancel your booking due to extreme weather conditions, a member of staff will be in touch on the morning of your booking. If you are unhappy to complete the course in the rain, we recommend that you check the weather forecast and postpone your visit but we need a minimum of 48 hours notice.

opening times

For general public bookings we are open during the season from 10am – 5pm during weekends and school holidays. It’s best to book in advance for a session, sessions start at 10am (Adventure Parties only) 12:15pm and 2:45pm and last for 2 hours, we can also run evening sessions for parties and clubs. Group bookings are available all year round 10am – 8pm.

what to wear

We advise you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in along with sturdy footwear such as trainers or flat boots. Skirts, sandals/flip flops and Crocs are not permitted. Always dress for the weather – during the winter months don’t forget your hat and gloves! Please bear in mind that you will be asked to wear a harness.

SPECTATORS

We have put a lot of thought into providing viewing areas where, if you are a spectator, then you almost feel part of the experience. Large decked areas with seating mean that you are able to encourage and support those who might need it when standing at least 30 ft off the ground. Visitor experience is very important to us. We have also made our site accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs with pathways leading around the ropes and nets course so spectators can be in amongst the action!

The instructors are amazing and so encouraging when you have those occasional ‘I can’t do this’ moments! There are lots of them which means their organisation is second to none, safety is paramount and all this for a fantastically great value price! I didn’t know this place existed but I’ll be spreading the word, Thank you Challenge Academy!

Staff were first class, very patient and helpful. Safety is no1 priority but this doesn’t detract from the fun. Totally recommend this for something that the whole family can do together – it’s great for the kids to see Mommy and Daddy more scared than they are! Well done guys!
