Opening Times

For general bookings we are open from 12pm – 4.30pm. Parties can be booked for the 10am slot and other times by prior arrangement only. Public sessions start at 12pm and 2pm.  If you have pre-booked you will choose a time slot to arrive, please make sure that you allow time to park your car and get to site.

We advise you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in along with sturdy footwear such as trainers or outdoor boots. Skirts, sandals and ‘Crocs’ are not permitted.  Always dress for the weather – please ensure that you have waterproof clothes if rain is forecast.  Please also bear in mind that you will be asked to wear a harness.

What about the rain and bad weather

We offer all-weather activity! The course remains open in all weathers, except in high winds or during lightning. If we have to cancel your booking due to the weather conditions, a member of staff will be in touch on the morning of your booking to postpone your visit.

If you are unhappy to complete the course in the rain, we recommend that you check the weather forecast and postpone your visit to us for an alternative date – we need a minimum of 48 hours notice for all amendments.

We will need a minimum of 48 hours notice to make amendments to your booking, and this is all subject to availability, so the earlier you can let us know, the better.  If you want to add adventurers then no problem, please give us as much notice as possible.

Where are we

We’re based at Baggeridge Country Park in Sedgley, five miles south of Wolverhampton centre and easily accessible from teh Black Country, South Staffordshire, Birmingham and Telford.  Please be aware that the car park operates on a ‘pay and display’ basis. Our adventure facilities are located below the Park Café next to the lower car park.

We ask that you allow plenty of time to park your car and prepare prior to registering onsite.  We will always have to start on time because we need to deliver essential safety information to the group at the start of the sessions.  Please let us know if you are running very late and we will advise on the best course of action. As a rule no – our safety systems mean that participants are always clipped on, no need to introduce a risk of any unclipping by adventurers.  We ask that adults or older siblings/carers accompany those who are not so confident.  Instructors are always there to ensure absolute safety and to help and support.

The instructors are amazing and so encouraging when you have those occasional ‘I can’t do this’ moments! There are lots of them which means their organisation is second to none, safety is paramount and all this for a fantastically great value price! I didn’t know this place existed but I’ll be spreading the word, Thank you Challenge Academy!

Staff were first class, very patient and helpful. Safety is no1 priority but this doesn’t detract from the fun. Totally recommend this for something that the whole family can do together – it’s great for the kids to see Mommy and Daddy more scared than they are! Well done guys!

Thank you to all the staff for a brilliant fun educational day! It gave our pupils with less confidence a chance to shine and our pupils with confidence an extra challenge. The teamwork involved has encouraged our pupils to support each other not only during physical activities but also during class lessons. We will definitely be returning during the summer as one of our invaluable ‘Sports Experience’ programmes
